Feeling Better!

Hattie is feeling better than last week but she still has a cough and is getting her molars. Last week when I took her into the dr. for the stomach bug her dr. told me she was already getting her molars. I could feel one cutting through today when I was putting orajel on them ( right before she bit my finger and made it bleed). She already has 9 teeth plus getting her molars now! Gees I guess she might be ready for steak by her birthday! Just kidding: ) Speaking of birthday...it is fastly approaching. We are planning her birthday party for March 19th. Yes that is early but both sets of grandparents will be in town and it will be over our spring break! Only two more weeks of school and then we will have a week off! Yippey!! I have been working longer hours the past few weeks because we have been tutoring kids after school getting ready for the big state tests. My class has their first test this Wednesday! They will have to write a two page paper and answer revising/editing questions. It is pretty hard for 9 and 10 year olds, but I am very confident in them. I have such awesome students. Our other tests are in April and we are gong to have a big pep rally to get ready for them. Us teachers are preparing a song and dance and I am teaching all the students 3-6 a dance to go with the song " Tonight's Gonna Be a Good Night". I have been working on the dance and night when Hattie is asleep. Brent can hear me from downstairs and says it sounds like I am bowling!! Okay!!It should be fun though!
Ok onto news from the weekend. It was lots of fun! Friday and Saturday I hung out with the girls. Usually we get together for Bachelor on Monday nights, but we also got together this weekend. The newest girl in "the group" is the third grade teacher at my school. It is fun that we have been hanging out together more. We went and saw " Dear John" one day last week and went shopping for Hattie's b-day decorations one day. It is fun to hang out with her outside of school! Then on Saturday we met Kristin, Justin, and baby Cooper for dinner at The Cheesecake Factory. We don't go to Dallas very often just because there are so many restaurants, stores, etc. so close to our little suburb. But it was fun to get out and go to this very nice restaurant that Brent had never been to. The funny thing is that right next to the restaurant is a Barnes and Noble, well when we pulled up we noticed a large crowd outside and we guessed that someone famous was going to be there signing a book. We were right. Ozzy Ozborne was there signing his new book...that explains the crowd!! Dinner was fantastic and the cheesecake was so yummy! Now tomorrow back to school! Have a great week!

me and Hattie outside of the restaurant

Hattie kept giving Cooper puffs

they even got their own "baby plate" with bananas and bread

her hair is starting to curl...love it!!

look at all those teeth

she loves sitting on the ottoman to watch Barney or Imagination Movers for about two minutes: )

Sick baby...

When I picked Hattie up from daycare on Thursday I had no idea what we would be in for that night! She seemed just as happy as ever Thursday afternoon and I am not sure what hit her that night, but she was the sickest I have ever seen her. She started throwing up around 10:00 and it pretty much lasted through the night. She would vomit in her bed so we would clean that up, then she would vomit on me so I would changed, then while Brent would hold her she would vomit on him. There was a time Brent came back into her room with a pile of about 6 shirts for us to change in to and we ended up using them all! Finally we ended up taking her into bed with us so that we could hear when she would cough because we knew that meant she was about to throw up, and that way we could be prepared.! Needless to say, it was a long night! I stayed home from work on Friday and took her into the dr. and she said it was just a 24 hour bug. Luckily it was the weekend so we could just stay home and rest. Hattie was feeling pretty good by Sunday and her appetite was back to normal! Thank goodness! It is so hard seeing your baby sick and uncomfortable. We did get lots of good cuddleing time in though: )
There must be something going around because so many of my friends have sick babies too...ugh!! Marina has been very sick with an ear infection and sinus infection. Poor thing.

Just chilling on her pillow playing with her doll. She would never just lay down like that if she wasn't sick!

Let's try that again....

Okay so I apparently didn't do so well posting a video for the first time. Not sure what I did or I should say, I don't know what I am doing!! But, I tried putting a couple of video clips on here again. Again the quality is pretty bad. The last video has the best lighting. The second video is her doing her gymnastics moves: )
Also here are our pictures from Valentine's Day. We went out to a new restaurant down the street. Hattie enjoyed watching the people next to us! It was a very enjoyable day!!

Edit- I just tried the videos today and they aren't working. Ugh!! Yesterday they were. I need help!!

Edit # 2- Guess the videos do work. What in the world?!?

checking out the people next to us

she loves the stuffed animal her boyfriend Cael sent her!!

she loves sitting in her toy box...she got so mad when we tried taking her out...I am pretty sure she already knows how to throw fits..yikes!!

Hattie is 10 months!!

What an exciting day...Hattie turned 10 months and we have snow in Texas! Seriously, I woke up this morning, looked out the window and almost thought I was back in the Midwest! We got around 12 inches! So much snow that we didn't have to go to school! People were going crazy here, they haven't seen this much so since around 1978. I have never seen so many snowman and snowball fights! It was actually a nice day to be outside to play in it and the driving conditions weren't that bad either. I think all of the schools were closed because they were afraid the roads would be covered in ice and we all know that Texans can not drive on ice or snow! It was a nice day of sitting inside relaxing with our baby!

Hattie continues to show us what a silly baby we have. The other night I woke up to what I thought sounded like jumping on a bed. I looked over to our video monitor and there is Hattie holding on to the crib rails jumping on the bed and laughing! This was at 4 in the morning. She continued "talking" to herself while playing for about twenty minutes before falling back to sleep. She is walking all over the place now. She has taken up to 12 steps and can stand for a long time on her own. I finally figured out how to put a video up on here ( I know..it only took me a few years!) of Hattie walking. Sorry the lighting is pretty bad but you can still see how she walks! My friend Misty saw the video and told me that I need to remind Hattie she is only 10 months and is still a baby! Ha! I agree..I just look at her and think " What is happening to my little baby?!?"

I love when she does her little gymnastic moves: )

Here I go again!

Reading the valentine card from Nana and Papa...thanks for the cute shoes too

Look at all this snow!

It was the good snow too...the kind you can build snowmen with!

Yummy!!

These are pictures from last weekend of us preparing for the super bowl. We attempted to watch the game over at some friends house, but with a very active baby to chase, we didn't really watch much of the game. Hattie enjoyed chasing around one year old Addison and hanging out with her friend Cooper!!
