Having Fun!

We stayed home this weekend with not much to do. This will be the only weekend in May of us not having anything to do. May is super busy with birthday parties, graduations, baby showers, and some school activities. I can't believe we only have 5 weeks of school left! We are so ready for summer!

Hollyn is already sitting up on her own!

Hattie loves driving the car!

My friend Misty sent Hattie this bowling set and a cute little puppy. We all had a so much fun taking turns bowling...even baby Hollyn got to try.

Hattie and Marina were singing on the fireplace for about 10 minutes...then they had a little squabble. These two are such good friends! It's fun watching them play together!

Happy Easter!!

We had a very nice Eater this year. After a great church service we went to Sara's for lunch and an easter egg hunt for the cousins. Hattie did 4 Easter egg hunts this year and by the 3rd one she would grab an egg, shake it, and throw it back if it was empty. It was pretty funny! The egg hunt at our church had all empty eggs except 50 prize eggs and then the kids would get a bag of candy. So there she was throwing all those empty eggs. We told her to put all the eggs in the basket and she did. Once we opened them we realized she won a prize. It said " 0 to 3 years dog prize". I went to the table thinking she won a little toy dog. Oh no...it was a huge stuffed dog about 3 times her size! She had won the biggest prize!! Ha!

Hattie would hold her sister all day long if she could! Hollyn's thankful that we don't let Hattie hold her all day long: )

Hattie insisted on having Hollyn sit with her in the bathroom while going potty...okay if it gets her to go I will do it. Again....poor Hollyn : )

Hattie is doing so good with the potty training! She won't let us help her at all. She usually goes in and closes the door for her privacy: )

Egg hunt at our subdivision

she thought the petting zoo was pretty neat

not to excited about the Easter bunny. SHe kept saying she wanted to show the easter bunny her toy, so I would take her over there and then she would cover her eyes...we did that like 5 times

She gets my purse, keys and sunglasses then says" Bye...going to work!"

we had lots of fun dying the easter eggs

Happy Birthday Hattie! On April 12th Hattie turned 2 and Hollyn turned 5 months! Hattie has been saying "I'm two" since her birthday party in March. On Sunday we went with my parents to the chinese buffet after church and the waiter asked how old Hattie was. I said she was one ( because she was still 1 and I thought maybe it was cheaper : ) ) Hattie turned around and said " I'm two!". I was a little embarrased because it looked like I was one of those parents trying to save money by lying about their child's age!! For Hattie's real birthday we went to Chuck E Cheese. We met my parents, sisters and their families, and Ruth Ann there! It was Hattie's first time going and she was a little overwhelmed at first but then had a blast! Us adults had fun too! It was nice going on a weekday when it wasn't that busy. I can't believe that Hattie is already two. I can still remember waiting those two incredibly long weeks for her to be born. Going past your due date makes those days extra long. My mom was with me the whole time. I was determined Hattie was never going to come and my mom kept saying how pretty soon those days of waiting would be forgotten as the years of their childhood would go fast. It sure has! On her birthday, Hattie and I sat on her chair looking through all her baby pictures of her first two years of life. We sure have had some wonderful days. Hattie is such a joy....we love watching her grow and change each day. I can't even remember what life was like before her...we just love her so much! Little miss Hollyn is 5 months already! She is busy rolling all over the place! Her favorite thing right now is her jumperoo! Holy cow can that baby jump! She is hilarious because she will go crazy while someone is watching and clapping for her and as soon as we turn around and not give her attention she will stop! She is still a very easy going baby. We think its funny that our baby is the easier one out of the two! She will go to sleep easily and stay asleep. Hattie, on the other hand, has just learned to crawl out of her crib and will run in to our room several times a night and say " I sleep in momma's bed". We have to keep putting her back in her room. We are getting a toddler bed tomorrow! It's been a really good week for me! I won the "Biggest Loser" competion at my school and got a little extra cash. I am happy to finally be losing some of the weight I've put on over the last two years....I still have a long way to go though! Sara, Ruth Ann and I started taking zumba class two nights a week! I love it! The best news of the week is that Brent's grandpa is out of the hospital and back at home. Pretty amazing since it was just two weeks ago he had a horrible heart attack. We know he had lots of people praying for him and it helps that he has always had great health. Last weekend we went over to my parents house and let the kids have an easter egg hunt since my parents are leaving this weekend. SAD! They won't be back down here until June. We are going to be busy this weekend with a garage sale, neighbor girls birthday party ( she is 3 days younger than Hattie), desert at our pastor's house, Hattie's two year dr. appt and our community easter egg hunt. ----(Sorry this is one huge page...I made paragraphs, but blogger takes them out when I publish the post...darn thing!) Hattie having fun!
She probably rode the swing 10 times!
