Hattie Turns One!

Okay..I better go back a few weeks since I haven't updated for awhile. Sorry...Spring is such a busy time. Last weekend we took Hattie to get her one year pictures. Oh boy was it exhausting trying to get a very active 1 year old to pose for pictures. I felt horrible for the photographer. We were lucky to get three good pictures out of all that she took. After the pictures we met our friends for dinner at a restaurant over looking the lake in Rockwall. It was beautiful!

If you would like to see the pics go to the website and type my first and last name. Our favorites were P4, P6, and P7

Then on Saturday we went to my sister's garage sale and since Kim and her friend had such a long day, Sara and I decided to babysit. We watched a 5 year old, 4 year old twins, a two year old, and a 4 month old baby. All I can say is...What a night!! We have funny stories! It definetly took two adults to do that.

Monday was a very exciting day! Hattie turned one. Brent got to stay home that day and I only worked half a day. We took Hattie to the park and had a nice dinner with her. Brent and I were watching her sleep that night amazed at how fast our baby grew in a year. It was crazy to think that just over a year ago we had no idea what our baby would look like or what her personality would be like. Now we can't even remember days without her. She is the biggest blessing in our lives.

This weekend was our community garage sales and we found lots of bargains. Last year at this time Kelly and Courtney were here visiting us. Last year we all went around to the garage sales and I remember Hattie was only 5 days old!

Okay I think that's about it! Thanks for reading!

Happy Easter!

What a difference this Easter was compared to last Easter. Last Easter...having a baby, and this Easter we enjoyed church, egg hunts, and brunch with family. We had a great weekend! Yesterday our subdivision had an egg hunt and free pictures with the easter bunny. We thought Hattie would cry sittting on the Easter Bunny's lap, but she didn't. She just stared up at him wondering what on earth was holding here! It was cute. Hattie also got a whopping 3 eggs at the hunt! And boy did she love those eggs. She held on to two of them the entire way home. This morning we got up and met my sisters, brothers-in-law, niece, and nephew at the church Brent and I started going to. Everyone is very welcoming and friendly there, we really enjoy it. Hattie loves going to the nursery. We hand her over and she doesn't cry! She loves being around other babies and kids. After church they had lots of fun things for the kids to do like jump houses, petting zoo, and an egg hunt. This time Hattie found about 20 eggs! She got so much candy that she can't even eat...guess I will have to eat it! : ) Then we went out for brunch at our country club here in Woodbridge. Yummy!

I'm and Easter baby!

We had a pep rally at my school on Friday. Our students big TAKS tests start next week so we thought we would get them pumped up. The 3-6th graders did an awesome job on the dance I taught them. Us teachers also did a dance to YMCA, except we changed the words to TAKS! It was pretty fun. Also the kids had a fear factor competition and the class the won would get their teacher to eat a cricket. This was the first time I was glad my class came in second! The 5th grade teacher, Ms. Sikes, had to eat it and said it was nasty!! Brent had the day off of school so he brought Hattie up to have a picnic with my class. Wow did my fourth graders ever love her. She kept giving this one boy hugs and he asked me if he could take her home with him just for one night...he told me how good he is with babies! Ha! Gotta love their thinking!

Last weekend we went to Build-A- Bear to make Hattie a bunny for Easter. She was so excited being in there. Her little bunny, Blosom, turned out so cute!
