Baby Dill!!

Well I guess our blog name of "thenewdills" can stay for awhile! Brent and I are expecting our first baby in April! We are both so excited! We found out I was pregnant on August 4th, just before school started! Now that I am almost out of the first trimester I am feeling really good! I was sick early on. But don't think I have been very hormonal...but if you ask my husband, he might disagree! We are enjoying this amazing experience and we are so excited to tell everybody! We plan out finding the sex. My dr. tried today, but he couldn't tell..so we have to wait another 3-6weeks! We will let you know when we find out!

Hot Air Balloon Festival!!

Last night we met our friends, the Keenas, in Plano to go to this hot air balloon show. Brent kept saying how boring it was going to be to just watch hot air balloons, but it was actually pretty cool. The best part was all the good food!! Corndogs, funnel cakes, cotton candy, kettlecorn, swirled potatoes, etc....yah I didn't eat all that by the way: ) There was lots of vendors out too and games for little kids. I might go back tonight with Braedon, Kim, and Greg.
Not much else going on this weekend, just resting!!

A Day with Braedon!!

Yesterday I picked up Braedon in the morning and kept him until the evening. Kim and Greg are very busy packing for their big move in less than 2 weeks! I figured it would probably be easier to get things done in the house without an energetic 4 year-old running around!

Braedon and I ate lunch then we went to Walmart where they were having a meet the superheroes day. Braedon loves all superheroes so I knew he would love getting to see them. He was a little nervous when they first showed up, but after a few minutes he wanted to go up to all of them for their autographs and pictures.

We also went to the mall, where we had to visit the candy store! And then we came back to then apartment and went swimming! For some reason, Braedon always wants to come hang out at our apartment. He is really the funniest kids...I love that I get to spend more time with him now that I live in the same town!

First Week of School!

Well I made it through my first week with 4th graders! It was a really good week. The first day was kinda hard, I was missing my puerto rico kids and having Brent and Kelly down the hall. But the rest of the week was so fun. I have a really good class! Not too many pics! Here we are on the first day of school and the other pics are of a project my class did. We are studying Texas for SS in 4th grade, so we took chips and crunched them into the shape of Texas. Some look just like Texas while others look like..???uhmmm.. Then we ate the chips with salsa! They loved this!

Brent is really enjoying middle schoolers!! Yeah!!
