Thanksgiving!!

This year we got to celebrate Thanksgiving with both my family and Brent's family. Hattie loved having Nana, Papa, Tracy, and Jaron stay with us. On Sunday she was so sad to come downstairs and see that everyone was gone. She would say "Papa? " "Jaron?" and we would have to tell her they had to go bye bye. Of course, their trip down here went way too fast. And it is so hard to have them leave knowing we won't see them until April.
We also had a big birthday this year. Brent turned the big 3-0! My family came over and we all had cake and icecream. I think he got a little spoiled this year with all of the presents. It is a big birthday though. I will be there in two years ( or a year and a half: )

These pictures are all out of order and it is pretty hard to try to move them around.

Family Time!

Brent's parents, sister and nephew fly in to Texas tomorrow! We are so excited for them to meet Hollyn! It will be nice to have more people around the house too!
I have really been enjoying spending the days with my sweet little baby. Most of the days I have my parents around to help and Hattie is still going to Alicia's most days. I wouldn't be able to have the two girls alone since I am not able to pick up Hattie for another couple of weeks because of the c-section.

Hollyn is still a very content little baby. She rarely cries unless she is hungry. She is also starting to sleep up to 4 hours at night, which makes her parents very happy! I feel like I am much more laid back with a baby this time around.

Hattie is still adjusting to her new role as a big sister. She gets excited to come down in the morning and look at Hollyn in the pack n play. We have to watch her so carefully when she is around the baby because she will just throw blankets, bottles, and toys in Hollyn's bed.

Hattie was doing so good using the potty. When she was with my parents she would use the potty several times and even would go poo poo. Since the baby, she has completely stopped using the potty. She will also do things like crawl and put the pacifer in her mouth. She also gets upset when I can't hold her or when I need to feed the baby and she wants to play.

Last weekend one of Kim's friends came over to Sara's to take all our family pictures. I was so excited to put the girls in matching outfits and get our first family pictures. Too bad the experience wasn't what I was hoping for. Hattie was NOT happy at all. She had a bag of Marina's toys she was playing with and when we tried to take it away to get our pictures taken, she was not having it. She cried almost the entire time we were outside. I didn't think we would get any good pictures and so far I have only seen this one and I am very happy with it considering how Hattie was crying most of the time. I will put more pictures up once we get them. Hollyn was so good the entire time, so atleast we will have good pictures of one our daughters : )

Here are pictures from the last week!

Welcome Hollyn Catherine Dill!!

Hollyn made her arrival right on schedule : ) She was delivered by c-section at 10:07 on Friday, November 12th! She weighed 7lbs 15oz and was 19 inches in length. I had a great c-section and was much more "with it" this time around. I told the nurses I didn't want any drowsy meds on top of the epidural. Overall, we had a really good stay at the hospital. We stayed from Friday til Monday. We missed Hattie, but she didn't seem to miss us much. She was so happy having papa and ga ga stay with her. She would come visit us at the hospital and then say bye to all of us. She is adjusting to being the big sister. She has been pretty funny! She "helps" us out by getting diapers, throwing dirty ones away, and getting blankets. She also has tried to put make up on the baby and knows just what to do when the baby is getting more attention than her....she starts singing and dancing.
Little Hollyn is such a sweet baby. We absolutely love her! Several nurses told us that they thought we were going to have a mild mannered little baby from what they could tell when she was in the nursery. We are seeing the same thing at home so far. She is a very good eater and sleeper too!
Here are the pictures from the last five days. Sorry I waited so long. We have been a little busy. : ) My mom and dad have been over here helping me since Brent went back to school on Tuesday. I love having them so close, I don't want to think about them going back to South Dakota! We have also had friends from school and church stopping by to bring us dinner!

our "congratulations dinner" at the hospital. They usually set up a nice table and white table cloth, but I couldn't sit on that so Brent and I pulled up the tray to my bed. Hollyn slept in her little crib while we ate and then we went for a stroll around the hospital.
