Lots of Fun!!

I turned 27 on Thursday! I had a wonderful birthday. Brent, Hattie, and I went out for lunch and then in the evening my sisters and their families came over to eat icecream cake!! Yummy!
I have been wanting to get professional pictures of Hattie for a while now, so we finally went and did that. They got some cute shots. If you want to see them go to:

Hattie's Daddy

I knew very soon after I met Brent that he would be a good dad. I've always loved watching him interact with our nieces and nephews and his students. He is so good with children that I couldn't wait to see him with our child. I am so lucky to share the role of Hattie's parents with Brent, everyday I see what a good father he is. Happy Father's Day Brent! Hattie and I think you are the best!

To celebrate Father's Day, Hattie and I woke up and made breakfast. We also went to Starbucks to get a caramel macchiato for daddy! He was suprised when we went and woke him up ( after letting him sleep in until 10 ).

Yummy!!

Lots of Fun with Grandpa!!

My dad came in last week. He planned on helping Kim move into her new house, but as we know, there were some change of plans. On that note, Kim, Greg, and Braedon ( and the 4 dogs) are all living in an apartment until they move into a new house. They might end up rebuilding the same house. They had a busy week of trying to move all of their things from storage to our house and to their small apartment. It was nice to have my dad here to help. They are doing good trying to stay positive, knowing things will work out!
My dad also got to spend lots of time with his 3 grandkids down here. They all adore " Papa"!
Hattie is still doing great! She is almost ten weeks now! She is letting us get lots of sleep now. She goes to sleep at night from around 9:30 to 6:00, wakes up to eat and goes back to sleep until 8:00 or 9:00! She is just like her daddy! Kim gave us her old video monitor so it is fun to see what she does when she wakes up. She never cries when she wakes up she just moves around making weird noises. Now when I go in to get her she smiles and coos! I love it! My dad reminds me that I was NOT like that as a baby! I would scream and shake the crib when I woke up: )
Brent and I are enjoying our summer. Brent has been golfing at the golf course here in our subdivision. He started taking lessons this week and we found two sets of clubs at a garage sale this morning! My sister and I have been walking/running 3 times a week now. It is great to get back into working out! I really need it: )

so comfortable in grandpa's arms
This is a special picture for Hattie's bf, Cael and his daddy Courtney:
Courtney is a huge Redskins fan so when he found this outfit he had to send it to Hattie to get a picture! Hattie must really love Uncle Courtney by wearing this outfit because she is actually a huge Vikings fan (already) !!

Hi Cael....here is a picture to put on your baby tool kit! I hope you don't mind that your girlfriend is a quite a bit bigger than you!!

What an Exciting Week!

Wow this week has been pretty crazy with both good things and bad things happening. Starting with the good....baby Marsh made his big arrivial June 10th. I was so excited when I got a call in the middle of the night from Courtney telling me Kelly was at 10cm ready to push. Her labor went so fast, she is lucky she made it to the hospital. When she got there she was past the point of getting any medication and delivered him breech! His name is Cael Ryan and he weighed 5lbs 13oz. Tiny little guy. We are so happy for them and can't wait to meet the him.
The bad news is that my sister's brand new house got struck by lightening and burnt down. They were going to move in today, but got the news yesterday. They are devasted of course, but realize it could have been much worse. They nor their belongings were in the house. SO in the meantime they are staying with us! OUr house is pretty packed with all of us and the 6 dogs! Not sure what they will do or where they will live. But everyone is okay so we will just do what we have to.
Today we took Hattie to her 2 month checkup. All looks well....she weighed 13lbs and is in the 100th percentile for her height. The dr. looked at her spine and said she is probably going to be tall! That is kinda strange: ) She said Hattie looks strong and healthy. The bad part was getting the 4 shots...Hattie cried like we have never heard before. Poor thing...but she was fine within minutes. Then we went out to a restaurant and came home! She is such a good baby!
Hattie also got to meet a few new people this past week. On Saturday Colorado friends, Steve and Adelle Jackson, came down to go to their niece's high school graduation. Turns out that Steve's brother only lives about 2 minutes from our house. It was really nice to see them, they were excited to see Hattie and get practice holding a new baby since they became grandparents a few weeks ago!
Hattie also got to go to my school and meet a few of the other teachers. Us teachers were working on cleaning our rooms and interviewing new teachers! We are all done now and don't go back til the end of August! YEAH!

after her shots....all happy again

we can't get enough of her: )

Auntie Tracy's Visit and School's Out!!

While Brent and I went to school for our last week of the year, Tracy came down to TX to meet and babysit Hattie! We found out that Hattie now has another auntie who is crazy for her: ) It was really nice having Tracy here, even though we didn't get to spend that much time with her. We will see her next month when we travel to CO and SD. We will be in CO from July 2-5th, then Spearfish from the 5th-10th, then Pierre from the 10th-17th, and leave CO on the 18th! We are getting excited to see family and friends!
Hattie is still doing great. She is 8 weeks and will be going to the dr. this week to get her first round of shots. I am dreading that : (
She is starting to smile alot more. When she wakes up in the morning she doesn't cry, she justs makes noises. I went in and she started smiling when she saw me! It was so cute: )
She is still eating and sleeping really good!! Brent and I are looking forward to spending the summer with her! We are also getting excited for the Marsh baby to be born...I am guessing sometime this week!! We shall see!

what a cute face: )
