Hollyn is ONE!!
We had a really nice birthday party on Saturday to celebrate Hollyn being one! It was a beautiful day where we could leave the doors open and let the kids go outside to play. Brent made his award winning chili ( he won his school chili cook off) and it was delicous! I think the birthday girl enjoyed her special day...she loved her way too many presents, loved her cake and was a pretty happy girl until it came time to putting on her birthday hat for a picture and then she wasn't having it ( the hat came off quickly!). Happy Birthday Hollyn! You are a very special little girl and we are thankful for you every day!
cute cake from Tom Thumb!
My friend Amy made those cute pom poms for her daughter's birthday party a few weeks ago...so I was excited when we got to use them too!

this was at the end of the night before bed time....she stayed up way past her 6:00 bed time! YAY!
can't even explain her : )

HALLOWEEN!
I guess the Fall Festivals are finally over...I swear we must have went to about 10 fall festivals in the last 6 weeks!!
Last weekend Hattie and Hollyn spent their first night away from mommy and daddy when they spent the night and Grandma and Grandpa's house. When I told Hattie she was going to have a sleepover she was so excited. She kept saying things like " Did you pack my toothpaste?" " Did you pack Gussy?" The girls were really good, which means we will probably do that again. Brent and I went and watched a play that one of my students was in and went out to dinner.
Halloween night we went over to Sara's neighborhood to trick or treat with all the girls. Hattie thrilled going to a few houses. Then her and daddy came home to pass out candy which she probably enjoyed as much as trick or treating.
Last night we were at the park and I was talking to another lady there with her two kids. We found out that her son and Hattie were born on the exact same day and her baby is only one month younger than Hollyn. How crazy. Hattie and her new friend, Jude, had a blast running around at the park. Other crazy thing was we realized one of my parent's neighbors his a guy I knew while in high school, he was from Ft. Pierre ( just across the bridge from Pierre). We started talking on facebook and we are going to meet up with our kids ( he has two young kids too).

Hattie's friend, Tracy. Hattie wouldn't hold hands with me or Auntie Sara ( and she is an auntie's girl) she would only walk and hold hands with Tracy. Haha!! Silly girl!
