The last week of vacation
Well, tomorrow is the first day of school for the teachers to get organzied and attend the very fun meeting: ) Then the following week is when the students report. This last week we spent a lot of time relaxing and going to the beach. THe Marshes had visitors all week so it was fun to meet them and spend time with them. On Wednesday we found a man that owns his own boat who would take us out to a small island and pick us up later that day. The island was really nice!!Very few people and nice snorkeling area! We decided that next time we do that, we are going to bring our tents and go camping!! On Thursday one of the new teachers arrived to PR! We suprised him by all of us showing up at his house. He was still in shock at the time, but ended up going out with us to dinner. The next night, the headmaster and owner of our school invited us all out to a really nice dinner!! They ordered so much food! Most of us had grouper that was really tasty! Yesterday we spent the day at the beach with the new teacher, Tom, Tori, and the Marshes ( and all the dogs). Oh what a nice week!! I was starting to get used to sleeping in, but that will all change tomorrow!! Have a great week everyone!

It's already been a year!!

Yesterday was our 1st year anniversary!! Wow that year went by so fast. We had a great day celebrating. First we woke up early ( my early...not Brent's early) and we made breakfast together, then we went to a small festival in our town plaza. In the afternoon we drove up to Old San Juan where we took a horse and carriage ride around the old city near the ocean. After the ride we found a really nice restaurant and decided to get the 2 person dinner of lobster, shrimp, ribs, steak, and chorizo. It was by far the best food we have had here!! After dinner we came home and drank champagne ( thanks Courtney and Kelly) and ate the cake I made( since we couldnt bring back the top tier of our real wedding cake). We also watched our wedding video, which brought back lots of wonderful memories!! It was a great day!!

Only in Puerto Rico....

Well we made it home safely, and it feels really good to be back in Puerto Rico. Benny and Lola were so excited to see their cousins, Miller and Winston!! It was so cute! And ,of course, we were just as excited to see Kelly and Courtney. Last night we had a first experience for us. We were all sitting around and I looked over and saw a horse walking up the street all by itself. It had chains around its back legs and appeared to have got away from his owner. The horse started walking up closer to the main street. It was about 1 in the morning, but this street is still busy ( many of you know that : ) Well Brent, being the animal lover he is, couldnt let this horse get hit by a car. He went up to hit and put his arms around his neck. Meanwhile, Kelly and I got food. We grabbed an assortment of meat, cheese, potatoes, and apples. Brent informed us that horses don't eat meat!! Okay well, Brent got the horse to follow him back to our house. We decided to put the horse in Clate's driveway ( which is now covered with large piles of poo..whoops) We kept him there for a few hours. We called a number of this lady who takes in abandoned horses...we made Brent call her at 2 in the morning!! Well anyways..we decided to take the horse to this big field close to our house. He was still there this morning. Gosh how funny that we find a horse just walking around!!! We ended up going to sleep about 4:30 this morning!! Goodness it was definetly a funny first night back in Puerto Rico!!!

Let me go back a few weeks.....
We had a great 6 weeks back in the states. After we left SD ( a very hard good bye : ( ...we went back to CO for a few weeks. I love CO, it is such a beautful state. Brent's parents took us camping in Steamboat, CO. Tracy, Jaron, Brent, and I stayed in a cabin next to Rick and Cathy in their camper. It was such a nice get away. We went tubing down the river, shopping, fishing, and my favorite...rafting!! I dont have any pictures of our rafting trip because I didnt want to get my camera went. No one fell in!! I cant believe how fast those 6 weeks went. It was so nice to see so many of you! THANKS for everything!!
