Well we made it home safely, and it feels really good to be back in Puerto Rico. Benny and Lola were so excited to see their cousins, Miller and Winston!! It was so cute! And ,of course, we were just as excited to see Kelly and Courtney. Last night we had a first experience for us. We were all sitting around and I looked over and saw a horse walking up the street all by itself. It had chains around its back legs and appeared to have got away from his owner. The horse started walking up closer to the main street. It was about 1 in the morning, but this street is still busy ( many of you know that : ) Well Brent, being the animal lover he is, couldnt let this horse get hit by a car. He went up to hit and put his arms around his neck. Meanwhile, Kelly and I got food. We grabbed an assortment of meat, cheese, potatoes, and apples. Brent informed us that horses don't eat meat!! Okay well, Brent got the horse to follow him back to our house. We decided to put the horse in Clate's driveway ( which is now covered with large piles of poo..whoops) We kept him there for a few hours. We called a number of this lady who takes in abandoned horses...we made Brent call her at 2 in the morning!! Well anyways..we decided to take the horse to this big field close to our house. He was still there this morning. Gosh how funny that we find a horse just walking around!!! We ended up going to sleep about 4:30 this morning!! Goodness it was definetly a funny first night back in Puerto Rico!!!
Let me go back a few weeks.....
We had a great 6 weeks back in the states. After we left SD ( a very hard good bye : ( ...we went back to CO for a few weeks. I love CO, it is such a beautful state. Brent's parents took us camping in Steamboat, CO. Tracy, Jaron, Brent, and I stayed in a cabin next to Rick and Cathy in their camper. It was such a nice get away. We went tubing down the river, shopping, fishing, and my favorite...rafting!! I dont have any pictures of our rafting trip because I didnt want to get my camera went. No one fell in!! I cant believe how fast those 6 weeks went. It was so nice to see so many of you! THANKS for everything!!
