Spring Break!!

We got home from our visit to Texas this morning at 3:30!! We had to wake up 3 hours later to go to school! Not fun...the airports were having big delays yesterday.
We spent the week interviewing many schools in Garland, house hunting, and spending time with my family. We should hear back from the schools with the next three weeks ( fingers crossed..we really hope to get jobs in that district). We also found a couple of houses that we love. We are excited about buying our first house in the next few months. When we weren't interviewing, we were playing with our niece and nephew...they are so much fun! It wasn't too hard to leave them this time, because I know we will be close to them soon!

Uhmmmm......some random pics of the week...

Sorry I am a few days late getting this blog up...busy busy. Brent and I bought tickets to go to Texas over spring break, the last week of March. We have interviews lined up, so we are really excited. We are also planning on looking at houses. Fun!!
Last week I had a friend from high school down here on a school trip call me. I met up with her for dinner. It was nice to visit, it has been about 7 years since we have seen eachother.
We went to a Guayama b-ball game on Saturday and Kelly and I finally got a picture with the mascot. He is a little freaky looking, but he is a brujo ( witch). We also did a little bit of shopping and we started organizing things to pack up and take back to the states. We only have 7 weekends left here so we will be planning fun things to do each weekend. We will also have a few more visitors. My cousin is planning on making a trip down here in April. We haven't seen eachother for a long time, so it will be nice to catch up!! Plus it is always fun to have visitors!

Horses, Horses, Horses....
This weekend was Guayama's festival of horses, Feria Dulce Sueno. This was the one thing that all our guide books mentioned about Guayama. Last year we missed it, so we were happy to find out that it was this weekend. We had fun looking at all the vendors and the horse show was pretty good. The best part was watching one of the horse trainers...just the way he ran to keep up with the horse. I guess we get entertained easily here!!
Friday we had a leap year party with the teachers! This time it wasn't at our house, it was at a local restaurant. It was fun singing karoake and dancing.
Today Kelly and I are making 40 cupcakes with red and white hats for Dr. Suess' Birthday to celebrate with our kids tomorrow! We did that last year and told ourselves that we were crazy. But again, we decided we to do it. Tonight we are going to the first Guayama Brujos basketball game! We are excited, especially since we know one of the players now!
