Visit to the Pumpkin Patch!
On Saturday we loaded up the car and headed to a pumpkin patch about 40 minutes away. I found the place online and it sounded pretty neat....plus it only cost 5 dollars for parking and everything else was free!! We all had a great time!
As soon as we pulled into our neighborhood we saw they were having a family festival....so of course we went!! We got home about 1:00 and ALL of us slept for 3 hours! It was a wonderful, relaxing day!
And yesterday was an exciting day at the Dill house...Hollyn is walking!! I forget how exciting those first steps are. She loves when we all clap for her. She is getting so big! I can't believe she will be one in three weeks....how did that happen?!

Hattie was so excited to see Caillou, which is her absolute favorite!
Barney is second: )

Hollyn loved this little train ride

On Wednesday my class took a field trip to the new Dallas Cowboys Stadium and it was seriously the best field trip ever!! The kids had a blast playing football on the field, touring the players locker room, cheerleader locker room, and media room. These kids are so luck! When I was their age we were lucky if we got to go to a field trip to a bank or dentist office!!

Hattie and Hollyn's Dedication
Sunday was a special day for us because we had Hattie and Hollyn dedicated! The girls did pretty good on stage...no big meltdowns. Hollyn was pretty entertaining to everyone because she saw my friend, Ruth Ann, in the front row taking pictures and she put her arms out reaching for her. It was really cute! Then she would clap whenever anybody would clap. We had been talking to Hattie about being dedicated to God and she kept saying she wanted to get her balloon back from God. What?? Then we realized a couple weeks ago she let go of her balloon in the park and said that it was going to God in the sky. How funny!! So Grandma made sure to have a balloon for Hattie after the service.
After church we had a nice dinner with family and then went to a small festival in my parent's subdivision. They were having free pony rides, bounce houses, games, and cotton candy! I feel like we have been to SO many fall festivals, but they are fun and cheap!
So thankful that God chose us to be parents to these little girls!
Hattie was singing and counting! : )

Marina's Spooky Birthday Party!
We had a weekend full of birthday parties! I swear there are lots of October birthdays! I was telling my sister that I know so many people with October 5th birthdays like Marina and then later I heard on the radio that Oct. 5th is actually the most popular birthday ever! How crazy!!
Marina had been wanting a spooky Halloween birthday party for a long time, and that's what she got! It was a lot of fun!
Hattie was also invited to two of her friend's birthday parties on Saturday. One girl is her best friend from daycare and the other is one of Brent's co-workers little girl. Hattie is only two and already has a busy social life...I can't even imagine what it will be like when she is older! HA!
We also went to our little town's fall festival! We are really enjoying the nice fall weather we are having! It's probably my favorite time of the year!
Grandma and grandpa showed up in these crazy masks and scared all of their grandkids....and everyone else!!Can we say creepy?!?!

Time for the Texas State Fair!
I love that schools here in Texas get a "Fair Day"! We took advantage of our day off and our free tickets to go to the biggest State Fair around! Hattie had been talking about going to the fair for a week or so...she had heard us talking about a time Braedon was younger and him getting bit by the ostrich at the fair, so of course, she wanted to feed the ostrich. We fed animals, went on a couple of rides, played a few games, and ate the best corn dogs....pretty much everything you would do at the fair!
Something really exciting happened on our ferris wheel ride though.....my friend and co-worker, Audrah got engaged on the ride ( her and her fiance had their first date at the fair two years ago!) Anyways we ended up seeing them in the line for the ride, they were a little ways ahead of us but when we got up to the ride we ended up being in the next cart! So while we were riding I hear " Katie" and when I finally looked down I saw what happened! It was pretty neat!
Here are a few pictures from the fair!

This darn ostrich bit my watch...meanie!

My mom and I had so much fun volunteering at the Maize Days with our church. My job was making cotton candy! I was seriously sticky for two days, but it was a great time!
Mom made about one batch of cotton candy and I laughed the entire time!!
