Happy Easter!!

What a great Easter we had this year! We went to church this morning and then ate lunch with sisters' families and my parents. The girls loved all their Easter goodies they got. Hollyn was a little upset the the carrots she we laid out for the bunny were gone this morning. She keeps saying "no, no bunny...those were my carrots". Oh that child!!

Like our new furniture?? Guess where I got it?? On the side of a curb!!! Can you believe it?? The other night we were going to my parents house to bring them food when I saw that big couch on the curb of my parent's neighbor. I asked my dad if he thought it was free. Turned out my parents knew these neighbors so we talked to them and they said the recliner broke and that they had literally just dragged it out there ( for the truck to pick up in the morning). And..she asked if we wanted the loveseat too..uhmm of course!! So I ended up driving to get my brother-in-laws truck and then we made a couple of trips. I spent like 4 hours driving all over, but it was worth it! They are super nice leather couches. Brent ended up fixing the recliner a bit and we jut put it against the wall anways!
Our other good deal of the week was a new garage fridge from a neighbor!! We scored big time with these freebies! : )

Tomorrow is April and that means visits from Nana and Papa and my best friend Jodi and her family!! Also Hattie turns 4 on the 12th so we are getting ready for her build-a-bear party( yes, I am crazy!!) Lots of fun ahead!

Spring Break!!

 Tomorrow we go back to school and work after having 9 days off! We didn't go anywhere this Spring Break like we have in the past, we just stayed home and played with friends and did some fun things around town. It was a nice, relaxing time!! The rest of the school year is going to go by so fast now! Pretty soon it will be SUMMER!

My awesome niece and nephew came to visit the week before our spring break. I was sad their spring break was the week before ours, but we still got to see them quite a bit.

Hattie came to school with me the day before spring break. She loves to go to the big school! One of the students was painting her nails for our Business Day!

 Hollyn's 2nd ballet class was so much better!! I bribed her with a cookie, and suprisingly, it worked!!

Tiny Dancer!!

Hollyn started dance class last week. She is doing the same dance class Hattie did last year. It is just a small class at the library that practices for 6 weeks and then does a really small show. Hattie is taking classes through her school and will do a big dance recital this Spring. I debated putting Hollyn in the classes through the school just because I thought she was too young, wouldn't perform at the recital and it is pretty expensive. I am sure glad I didn't do the expensive classes, because this girl is a little stinker and when she decides she isn't doing something...she isn't doing it!!
She had been talking about dance class for atleast two weeks. Everytime we would go by the library she would say dance class and that she needed bigger shoes. She was so excited for dance class, but then on her first day, she refused to do anything!! She did look adorable though: )
This little one is so different from her sister. If Hattie didn't want to do something, I could talk her into it or bribe her. I tried bribing Hollyn with candy and she said " no more dance class, I want to go home" Oh and their dance teacher is one of the mom's of my 4th grader! Haha!!

 Last weekend Hattie went to a tea party birthday party of one her friends from daycare. They had so much fun!

 Last weekend my dad and I took the girls to the zoo because it was just too nice of a day to sit inside...plus we made it for the last day of the $5 a person day. What a great deal! I am totally impressed with the Dallas Zoo.

Five more days until Spring Break! We are so ready for Spring Break! No big plans other than going to a few places in Dallas with the girls! It will be nice to relax a little...these next few months are super busy!!
