Summer Checklist!

 Now that we are back from our summer vacations we have been checking off lots of things we wanted to do this summer. One of the biggest things was getting Hollyn potty trained so she could move up classes this Fall. She had shown absolutely no interest and would say " I don't like panties, I just like diapers". I was in for a big shock with her! We started potty training last Sunday and by Wednesday we were at Chuckee Cheese celebrating. She got it right away! She goes on her own and has only had one accident in 10 days! She doesn't even need a diaper at night time! I never thought it would be that easy!! We are so proud of her!
We have also been busy meeting with my church connect group, which meets every week at a new place to let the kids play. We also go to the pool almost every day! Both girls are getting better at swimming! Now we are getting down to the weeks left for this summer. It always goes by so fast!

 Last week I was a bridesmaid in my friend/co-worker's wedding! It was beautiful!

 I took the girls to Despicable Me 2! Hollyn actually stayed in her seat. As long as she has popcorn, she is good to go!!

Getting some sun in Galveston!

On Sunday we left for a short, 3 day get away to Galveston, TX. Which is about 4.5 hours away from us. My brother drove down from SD with his family and both my sisters and mom came too. My dad was the only one that didn't make it ( he says he isn't much of a beach guy) but next year he said he will come with us!
Last year we stayed in a nice condo, but this year we decided we would all get rooms at a nice resort across from the beach. It was so nice!! Especially for us since we got an upgraded suite!! The girls had a blast playing in the beach, and us adults had as much fun jumping through the waves!
We ate at fun restaurants, took a ferry ride where we saw tons of dolphins, lounged around at the resort pool and visited Pleasure Pier (  amusement park on a boardwalk). We had so much fun! Can't wait to go back next summer!
