We just got back from our annual summer road trip to South Dakota ( and surrounding states)! We were gone for about 2.5 weeks. We are just starting to unpack our suitcases and by the end of the week we will be leaving for vacation again! I know, this summer life is hard : ) We will be going with my family to Galveston for a couple of days!
We all had such a great trip to South Dakota and Colorado..I look back at these pictures and can't believe all we did. Hattie and Hollyn are so lucky to have a Nana and Papa who love to take them places and do fun things with them. We asked them what their favorite part of the trip was and they both said it was their special date night with Nana and Papa going to the water slide, Pizza Hut and out for icecream. Thank you for such a great trip!

Hattie was so excited to get her hair done for the wedding. She wanted to look on a princess and asked for Rapunzel hair....looks like she would have made a better Sleeping Beauty!! : )

The next day we went to Estes Park ( Brent's hometown) and drove through the Rocky Mountain National Park and did some fun things with the kids
We were all completely soaked after the bumper boats. They were the ones with the big squirters...we were laughing so hard. I had no idea we could get that wet on bumper boats!

While we were in CO us 4 stayed in this camper. The girls loved it!!
Back to South Dakota we went...we stopped in Custer State Park and stayed in a cabin.

That night we stayed in Pierre in a hotel ( very weird doing that now that my parents don't live there). We got to see Eric and meet is girlfriend to watch fireworks after a concert on the river.

We drove to Miller to see my grandma who will be 101 next month!!!
Hattie was so excited to see Mount Rushmore..right before we left our neighbor brought the girls a plaster kit of Mt. Rushmore ( she had no idea we were going there) and they painted it. Hattie loved it!
On our way home we stopped in Kansas to stay with our Puerto Rico friends, Kelly and Courtney. The girls loved playing with Cael.
