So Much Fun With Grandma!

My mom is just packing up getting ready to go back to South Dakota! She warned me that she was going to try to sneak Hattie on the plane! Those two had such a great week while I went back to work. My week went well too! I was really excited to see my students, they are so much fun! It felt like I was never gone, although I got called the sub's name a few times: )
I missed Hattie, of course, but knew that she was having fun bonding with her grandma. I am not sure what they all did during the day, but Hattie sure was tired at night! This week she slept through the entire night twice! She would wake up when I was waking up to get ready for work! Wow! That is nice! Maybe we need to keep grandma here: )
Tomorrow Auntie Tracy comes to spend a week with her niece. I am sure they will have a great week too! Friday is the last day of school! We are so excited to have the summer off with our baby!

Family Time!

Hattie is already 6 weeks old this week...wow!! My mom got into town yesterday and she has been loving on Hattie every minute she gets! She will have plenty of time with her this upcoming week as I go back to school. I am so excited to see my students, but know it will be hard leaving my little girl. I know she will have so much fun with grandma though. Then the following week her aunt Tracy will watch her. I only have two weeks of school then Brent and I will be off for the summer!
This weekend Hattie spent lots of time outside with cousins, aunties, uncles, and grandma!

is she really only 6 weeks???

One Month Old!

Wow that first month went so fast! On the other hand, I can't even think back to over a month ago when she wasn't in our lives. I already forgot what that was like!
Hattie is already changed alot in one month. I love being with her everyday watching her change. We still go day by day. One day she will like something, the next she won't. One day Brent and I will figure out something that works well with her, and the next day it won't: )
Hattie is becoming a little more alert during the days. She likes tummy time and just looking around. She like stroller rides and rides in the car. She is pretty content. She celebrated being one month by sleeping 6 hrs at night. Okay...Brent and I were the ones celebrating. I do have to say that although she sleeps long periods and night we have a hard time getting her down. I have to say that because Kim and Sara are always saying what an angel baby Hattie is. They don't think she is doing a good job being a "real" baby. She likes to be rocked or walked around with so it can take a while getting her to sleep. People say that babies can't be spoiled this early, but I really think my baby is getting spoiled: ) She started sleeping in her crib at night so Brent and I are getting better sleep. She is even taking a nap in her crib right now ( see I don't just hold her all day: )
Anyways...we love our little baby and think she is the best!!

look how strong I am...I even roll over

what am I supposed to be doing here?

First Mother's Day!

Hattie came into my life on April 12th, 2009. She made me something I always wanted to be.....a mother! Every other mother who I talked to would tell me what it was going to be like to be a mother. I , of course, would just nod and think I am sure it is wonderful. Now that I am a mother it is like nothing I ever could have imagined...it is just so much better! My life is changed forever and it is so exciting to think that I will get to watch Hattie grow and change everyday. I love my little girl to pieces and so far my life as a mother is wonderful!
Happy Mother's Day!!

Hattie in her cute little outfit...oops how did I forget her bow?!?!

She is still a great sleeper....especially at night!!

Just The Three Of Us....For A While!

It is always so nice to have visitors, but it is very hard to have them go. Especially our parents. Rick and Cathy just left yesterday and the house already feels different. I really enjoyed having them around while Brent was at work. We got out of the house quite a bit with Hattie and having them just made everything easier! Both of our parents really spoil us when they came and helped. We had nice dinners, they cleaned, mowed the lawn, fed the dogs, etc. Once they leave we have to adjust again to doing by ourselves! I will be alone again for the next 3 weeks. Then my mom and Tracy will be here each for a week while I go back to school.
I went and visited my class on Friday! I was so excited to see them! I showed them pictures of Hattie and , of course, they loved them! They also said that is looks like Brent hasn't slept in weeks! And they couldnt get over how different I looked when Hattie was born since I wasn't wearing makeup! Oh they are so adorable! I really miss them!
Here are a few more pictures! Hattie better get used to the big bows: )
