My brother has been wanting to take his kids to see the ocean ( Gulf Coast) for the last few years but we just never did. Finally, we made plans and rented a condo for all of us to go down for a few days while they were visiting us in Texas. And man did we have fun! It was way better than I thought. I had heard that the beaches aren't that great so I didn't really think we would get to swim. The kids LOVED it! We would get up early and look for shells, spend the days at the beach swimming and playing in the sand, go swimming at our Condo pool,and then go to the board walk ( Pleasure Pier) and fun restuarants ( Bubba Gumps Shrimp, Rainforest Cafe) in the evenings.
It was a nice little get away for us all. So glad it was last week because this week has been a tough one...Sara's dog, Cooper died on Sunday night and then Greg's ( Kim's husband) mother, Helen, died yesterday. Kim and Greg are in Atlanta preparing for the funeral and Braedon is staying with us and we are having is planned birthday party tomorrow.
