Our Christmas 2013

We had another great Chrismtas this year! The girls are so much fun at ages 3 and 4! This year was a special Christmas for them because they got to celebrate Christmas Eve and Christmas day with both sets of grandparents! How fun is that?? Nana and Papa came down from South Dakota on Dec. 23rd and stayed until the 30th. We really enjoyed having them with us on Christmas. Here are a few pictures of our Christmas and New Years. I hope you all had a great Christmas too!!

The girls hanging ornaments. Crazy how we had several at the very bottom of the tree : )
This was during Icemagedon 2013 ( that is what the local news stations called it. we had a bad ice storm and that caused two snow days!)

The girls decorating cones to look like Christmas trees. One of the teachers sent all these supplies home with me for the girls. They loved making and eating them!
Getting ready for the Christmas parade in Sachse. I love this parade! It is very small town feel and Brent knows most of the middle and high school kids. Our girls where in the car when I took this picture. They were sleeping because the night before they slept over at Papa and Gaga's and stayed up till midnight!)
 Little gingerbread houses
Ugly sweaters at school..these are the middle school teachers! We always have fun~
Hattie found a mistletoe at Grandma's so she got Hollyn under it too so she could kiss her
Hattie visitng Santa and Mrs. Claus while Hollyn cried
The girls at the high school Christmas carnival
Nana's here! Just in time to make all the Christmas treats!
The girls got big wheels from Gaga and Papa
We were out looking at lights on Christmas Eve and Santa just happened to be outside one of the houses. Hattie ran up to him. He told her to go to bed right when she got home because he was getting ready to head that way. She sure did go to bed right away! I wish I could use that trick every night!
 Getting the cookies ready

Christmas morning...after all the presents. Here the girls are playing with eachother's toys.
 Hollyn's doc mcstuffins toy
 Hattie's princess castle
 Hattie the cooker!
The girls dressed up at Kimmie's house

           Braedon got roller blades!
                   Crusing on the scotter
We all watched a movie after lunch
Climbing a cool, old tree at a park

We drove about an hour east of Dallas to find this beautiful lake. The girls loved picking up pine cones and leaves while we walked around
Now both girls have strider bikes
We had a New Year's party at Sara's house. All the kids came too!
We all stayed up to ring in the new year! Welcome 2014! Cheers!
